What we collect
The suggestion form collects your email for follow-up, optional name, topic, details, optional source link, a generated submission ID, submission/consent timestamp and the version of the submission terms accepted. No account or sign-in is required. A daily identifier derived from connection information (or email if connection information is unavailable) is stored for abuse prevention; the application does not store the raw connection address in this record. We use these fields to review and follow up on your request and protect the service. Historical suggestions submitted before this change may retain their earlier sign-in identifier.
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send. Do not send unnecessary confidential records or sensitive personal identifiers. Published records and reporting may contain information obtained from public sources; their inclusion is governed by editorial relevance and privacy review rather than mere availability.
Hosting and authentication services process technical information to deliver and secure the site. This can include connection information, cookies and logs under their own practices. The service uses ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure. Our current application code does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts; this is not a claim that infrastructure or sign-in services collect no information. Linked sites have separate practices. See the OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy for information about those providers. Their roles and independent practices are not controlled entirely by this notice.
Use, access and disclosure
We use collected information for operation, security, editorial review, correspondence, corrections and legal obligations. Submissions are not automatically public. The application's editorial review page is restricted to the site owner; service providers may process information necessary to operate the service. We may report independently verified facts arising from a tip, while considering privacy, identity and source-protection issues. We do not use suggestions as a marketing subscriber list. A separate newsletter form collects your email, explicit signup request, time, policy version and abuse-prevention identifier. Newsletter interest is stored separately as unverified; newsletter delivery has not started, and ownership confirmation and an unsubscribe process are required before delivery. You may request removal through the privacy contact.
We may disclose information as required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety, subject to applicable legal obligations. We cannot guarantee confidentiality against legal process. This site currently has no public comments, paid subscription checkout or reader file-upload feature. Future features require fresh privacy review.
Retention, requests and controls
The suggestion and newsletter applications currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Stored suggestions remain until an authorized administrative deletion, subject to legitimate editorial, security and legal needs and any preservation duty. Provider logs and backups can have separate retention. Deletion from the active application does not necessarily remove every provider backup immediately.
Contact parallaxmediacollective@gmail.com to ask about access to, correction of or deletion of information you submitted, or our use/disclosure practices. We may use proportionate identity verification and will follow applicable rights, deadlines and exceptions. We do not require you to submit a government ID unnecessarily. Requests involving public-interest reporting, another person's information or preserved evidence may be handled differently from unused private tips.
The application does not currently contain special handling for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. It does not implement cross-site advertising or analytics tracking. Hosting/authentication providers may process information under their own policies; we have not completed an independent audit of their cross-site collection. We will review applicable signal, opt-out and disclosure obligations before introducing tracking. No blanket CCPA exemption or certification is claimed.
Children and security
The site is general-audience; the suggestion feature is intended for adults 18 or older. We do not intend to solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact us if a child submitted information so we can assess and take appropriate action.
No website is guaranteed secure. The ordinary suggestion form is not an emergency service or secure whistleblower channel. Report suspected exposure to parallaxmediacollective@gmail.com without accessing or distributing another person's information. We will assess incidents and provide notices where required. Material policy changes will carry an updated date and additional notice or consent where required.
